Bill and I closed escrow on our first house last weekend. We have been unpacking for the last few days and enjoying the process. We've had a few appliances delivered this week - Monday we got our fridge and yesterday we got our washer and dryer. I never knew doing laundry could be so fun! We've enjoyed doing all the things we used to do - laundry, watch TV, read a book - and things we rarely did - cook, dishes, build furniture - doing them in our home makes them so much more fun.
No internet access for the last week or so (I'm at work right now posting this) means no pictures yet, but I'll be posting some soon. Thanks for all the support and good wishes during escrow. Can't wait to have you over!

41 more days...
In 41 more days, if all goes well, we will be the proud owners of our first home. The whole process has been educational, exciting, stressful, fun, at times overwhelming, and has ultimately brought us closer together. Here are a few photos of our soon-to-be home, fingers crossed!
We knew we loved this house when we discovered that the towel racks in one bathroom and the sink cabinet in another are the same ones we bought for our bathroom last summer. The things that make an impression when searching for a house!

Professor Bill
I was looking at Selak Times the other day and noticed that we haven't updated in quite awhile. I survived the holiday season at Barnes & Noble and am now trying to survive the slow retail season with my job intact. Meanwhile, Bill is adding to his resume. In recent months, Bill was hired by Azusa Pacific as adjunct faculty. He's going to start teaching with University of La Verne next month, too. I'm proud of my guy - such a hard worker!

classic
Isabelle got the new iPod classic today. It's silver. Oooh. And although it's brand new, it's already a "classic". As with most new things, I had to take a picture of it and make it the photo-a-day.
